Street Photography

Emajaro became interested in photography back in the late 1970’s, when he purchased an old Pentax camera from a Bradford junk shop.

He soon developed a keen interest in both documentary and the art of street photography, and has been inspired by icons of photography such as Fay Godwin, Don McCullin, Bill Brandt and Henri Cartier-Bresson.  Cartier-Bresson’s book titled ‘The Decisive Moment’ published in 1952 has been a major influence on Emajaro's photographic practice, Particularly in his street photography where his desire is to capture a faithful reproduction of reality.
